Q. Can I return an artwork?
A. If the artwork arrives and you’re not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you’ll have fourteen days from the date of delivery to notify us of your intent to return the work for a refund.
Q. What happens once my order has been placed, and will I be informed of a delivery date?
A. You will be sent an email to confirm that we are dealing with your order. As soon as the artist has informed us that the artwork has been despatched we will email you with a delivery date.
Q. Do you or the artists keep all the artworks?
A. All the artworks are kept with the artists, and are sent directly from the artist’s studios
Q. What is a giclee print?
Giclee prints are often known in exhibitions as archival pigment prints, this term is increasingly becoming the standard term used in the art world.
The word Giclée (“gee-clay”), is based on the French verb gicler which means “to squirt or spray” and was originally coined by printmaker Jack Duganne in 1991. Giclée printing is a fine art digital printing method using specialist archival pigment inks and acid-free papers; creating gallery-quality inkjet prints with excellent depth of colour, longevity and stability.
Q. What is a limited edition?
Limited edition prints are taken from original artworks with a maximum edition size of 150 copies. They are usually signed and numbered, for example 14/150 meaning number 14 of 150 copies.
Q. I have seen an artwork on the site that I like but it is sold/wrong size or colour.
A. Please just contact us, as most of our artists are happy to carry out commissions to suit your size and colour requirements
Q. If I order a commission, will I be sent an image before I purchase it?
A. Yes, as soon as the commission is completed we will send you an image for your approval.
Q. Can I order an artwork to see it in situ in my home, and then return it if I am not happy with it?
A. You can order an artwork and ‘live’ with it to make sure it looks right in the space for which it was purchased. If you are not happy with it for any reason, you can return it within fourteen days for a full refund, or a replacement piece
Q. Do canvases require framing?
A. Canvases do not require framing as they will have painted edges making the painting ready to hang.
Q. Is your website secure, and will my details be kept safe?
A. We think that security is paramount, and our online art gallery therefore holds an SSL certificate. This can be thought of as an internet padlock for our site. Your credit card details are held offsite by PayPal ensuring that your credit card details are kept completely secure, and your personal details are never shared.
Q. I’m going to purchase several artworks from you, can I get a discount?
A. Please contact us, as we would be happy to ask the artist(s) concerned. We can usually arrange a discount for a multiple purchase
Q. What are your payment methods?
A. You can make payment by credit or debit card through PayPal. You can also pay by cheque or bank transfer by arrangement.
Q. How long will it take for delivery of my artwork?
A. We ask all our artists to despatch the artworks within seven working days of receiving the order.
Q. I require the artwork to arrive urgently for a special occasion, can this be organised?
A. Please just contact us if this is the case, as in most cases we will be able to arrange this for you
